Lifetime Care for your Pet Companions
In today's economy, we especially appreciate and respect your trust as well as your commitment to your four-footed companions.
Westlake Animal Hospital is known for our cutting-edge and progressive techniques in medicine and surgery. Minimally invasive medicine and surgery such as laparoscopic spay and gastropexy, endoscopy and rhinoscopy, as well as advanced dental procedures like root canal, pulpotomy, and restoration are all available here. We are also part of a growing number of animal hospitals in the nation that perform comprehensive semi-annual wellness exams.
Our patient base is dogs and cats. We do ask that you call for an appointment so that you are scheduled and will not have a long wait for your appointment.
Above all else, we at Westlake Animal Hospital pride ourselves on our open door policy.
Our open door policy means that we feel there is no reason why a client should have to be separated from their pet at any time. Therefore we offer pet owners the option to stay and watch their pet's surgery or dental procedure. Also, most outpatient treatments are done in the exam room while our clients are present.
You are welcome to visit your pet while it is being hospitalized for surgery or in the case that it is ill (except for transmittable diseases such as Parvo virus, etc.) at any time.
If you have any questions about the services we offer such as surgeries or wellness exams, please contact us at (440) 835-3800 or e-mail to westlakeah@aol.com.
Payment is requested at time of service. We accept all major credit cards, checks or cash. You may also apply for a veterinary credit card Care Credit at carecredit.com. Unfortunately we cannot bill for services. We may be able to stagger the veterinary care in order to accommodate your budget. This is a conversation you can have with one of our veterinarians. We advise you to include veterinary care into your budget.
Westlake Animal Hospital is proud to be an accredited member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). Our accreditation demonstrates our commitment to the highest standards of veterinary care. AAHA regularly inspects our hospital to ensure that we comply with the Association’s standards for facilities, equipment, and quality procedures. AAHA standards are recognized around the world as the benchmark for quality care in veterinary medicine.
Westlake Animal Hospital was evaluated by the American Animal Hospital Association in over 900 standards established to ensure that our patients and clients receive the highest level of care (because that's what they deserve). Westlake Animal Hospital holds a place of honor within the Association and the veterinary profession. Only 15% of the veterinary practices throughout the U.S. and Canada have made the commitment to voluntarily participate in an on-site evaluation to ensure compliance with these standards. We undergo the AAHA evaluation every three years, which is an extensive preparation and updating process.
